How can owners keep the "good as new" look of these products for a lifetime of beauty and service?

Elite Marble Co. recommends for its products:
Use liquid cleaners such as window cleaner or any such non-abrasive cleaner for regular cleaning to remove mineral deposits and soap scum. Restore dull surfaces by using a liquid cleaning compound (such as is used for cars), followed by a light application of liquid wax or paste. Do not use abrasive cleaners, steel wool, scouring pads, scrapers, or sandpaper on any part of the surface. Occasionally, Gel Gloss (available in most major hardware stores) is an excellent way to clean and seal your cultured marble vanity top for years of beauty.
To remove built-up hair spray, paint, tar, and difficult stains from the surface, use turpentine, denatured alcohol, or paint thinner. Be careful not to use turpentine or paint thinner on the hydro jets in a spa or plated components- damage to the plastic coatings may result.
To remove plaster or construction residue, scrape the surface slightly with a wooden edge and wash with liquid detergent. Never use wire brushes or metal tools on any part of the cultured marble surfaces.
If the stain is from hard water or mineral deposits, try using a cleaner for removing iron, calcium, or other such mineral deposits that are in your water supply. Most cleaning chemicals will not damage the gel coat as long as label instructions are followed.
DO NOT use water heated over 135 degrees. CLICK HERE for a printable version of the care and maintenance tips

What is the difference between a gloss and matte finish?

Many customers ask what is the difference between a gloss and a matte finish. Both are manufactured using the same process. The gloss or matte finish is created during the finishing of the vanity top. Our samples are shown in a gloss finish, as that is our standard finish. If you’d like to see a matte finish, please give us a call, we would be happy to send you one so you can make a good decision on your final selection.

Can your products be cut? If so, what do you use?

All of our products can be cut or scribed to be installed by a skilled tradesman. We recommend using a diamond blade for all cutting, but a masonry or carbide blade will work fine as well.

Cutting our products will create a large amount of dust, so please use appropriate dust masks and safety goggles when cutting. Always, measure twice, cut once. We recommend cutting from the backside of the product to ensure that the product does not get chipped by the blade. Support any excess that is being cut off to ensure it doesn’t snap or break off and chip the remaining top or piece.
